Test accessibility Web

It is in: Beginning Services Mobility

Ever since in the W3C I am created the “Initiative Movable Web” (MWI) the investigators of the Foundation have been working actively in the group. In parallel we have created analyzer “TAW mobile OK” having been one of the three better practices of mobility published by W3C, along with mTLD and the validador of reference created within the W3C with the participation of CTIC, Google, dotMobi and 7Val.

In order to facilitate the task of mobilizing Web sites, we have created a trascodificación tool that allows that a Web site developed agreed to the W3C standards can be visualized correctly in any movable device and assuring a good experience user.

The tool of dynamic adaptation of contents “Merkur”

Merkur is a system of dynamic adaptation of contents Web based on you rule of the “Initiative Movable Web” (MWI) of W3C. It is a software multiplatform based on Java able to integrate itself with multiple publication systems, that transform the contents, images and structure of the already existing pages to adapt to any movable device, allowing that each device, following its capacities, shows of the most suitable form the content of the Web.

Design of policies for the mobilization of vestibules

The policy for the mobilization of Web sites is a set of recommendations that help the organizations to confront the process of mobilization of their vestibules in the case of existing or to define the characteristics that will have to consider for the development of a vestibule movable Web. These recommendations, very tie to the standards of W3C and the accessibility, will as much allow the unfolding of suitable vestibules of Internet for the conventional systems as to the different movable devices with a minimum extra effort.

Previous study of requirements

In case the vestibule Web already is developed, it is precise to know like is constructed, to study the system and the technologies that are used, with the purpose of to know the degree complexity that can suppose to mobilize it. With this study the information necessary is obtained to quantify the implications that it has to make moving body the vestibule.

Prototipado and test of concept

In order to assure the viability the development that is realized to mobilize a Web they construct a functional prototype that allows to evaluate the experiences of user in different movable devices. This prototipado aid to select that parts of the Web will be mobilized and as no, the disposition of the contents for different devices, etc.

Technological transference and consultancy

To the transformation of the contents to a format adapted for the movable devices, Foundation CTIC has a set of tools software (“Merkur”), that by means of rules allows this transformation of form is transparent (without overloading the system nor implying no change in the structure, contents, graphs or architecture of the systems). This process is destined to transfer software and to help in the integration of the same in the systems of the client. This transference not only is of the software of Merkur, also is it of knowledge, by means of the formation in the use of this technology.

By means of tools of validation created by Foundation CTIC that are adapted to the standards proposed by W3C, and by means of expert revisions, the Foundation evaluates the quality of the results, allowing of knowing the level adjustment the requirements of the mark of Mobile OK.

This service is oriented to give support to the later developments to the putting in production, to contribute improvements on the results of the transformations or of incorporating new functionalities to the tools.
